Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the SparrowTalk Android and iOS applications and related services. By creating an account or using SparrowTalk, you agree to these Terms.

1. Contact and eligibility

You must be 13 or older to create an account. If the law where you live requires parent or guardian authorization at a higher age, you may use SparrowTalk only with that required authorization. You must be legally able to agree to these Terms.

2. Your account

A verified account is required for the current app experience. Provide accurate account information, protect your device and sign-in methods, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

3. Your content and permission to process it

You retain ownership of content you import. You confirm that you have the rights needed to use that content with SparrowTalk. You grant SparrowTalk a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, extract, synchronize, translate, and synthesize your content only as needed to provide features you request, secure the service, and meet legal obligations. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to limited backup, security, and legal retention described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use SparrowTalk to:

• infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• store, process, or distribute unlawful or harmful content;
• probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass security, subscriptions, quotas, or access controls;
• share credentials, impersonate another person, automate abusive requests, or access another account;
• reverse engineer protected online services except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
• use generated translations, pronunciations, or narration to mislead, harm, or make decisions requiring qualified professional advice.

5. Translations, narration, and AI output

Translations, pronunciations, narration, definitions, and AI-generated explanations may be incomplete or wrong. They are learning and accessibility aids, not professional advice. Check important information independently. Optional cloud processing can be turned off in Profile; doing so prevents new Gemini and Google Cloud Text-to-Speech requests.

6. SparrowTalk Plus

SparrowTalk Plus is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play. Before purchase, the store shows the localized price, billing period, any eligible trial, the renewal terms, and required disclosures. Unless cancelled through the store at least as required by that store, the subscription renews and the store charges its payment method. Trial eligibility and conversion are controlled by the store.

Plus features and quotas are described in the app. Usage allowances do not roll over unless SparrowTalk expressly says otherwise. Reasonable safety limits may protect accounts from accidental or automated bulk use. Availability may vary by platform, language, region, network, provider, and service capacity.

Manage or cancel through Apple or Google. Refund decisions and purchase records are controlled by the applicable store. Restore purchases while signed into the same SparrowTalk account. Store rules and account-transfer protections may limit moving access between SparrowTalk accounts.

7. Account deletion and subscriptions

You may delete your account in the app or through the verified external deletion process. Account deletion does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, stop future store billing, or automatically issue a refund. Cancel an active subscription through the store before deletion if you want to stop renewal.

8. Service ownership, changes, and availability

SparrowTalk, its software, branding, and service content are protected by intellectual- property law. These Terms do not transfer those rights to you. We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features, and may update reasonable limits to protect reliability and fair use. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.

9. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address material Terms violations, fraud, abuse, security risk, legal requirements, or service discontinuation. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. You may stop using SparrowTalk and delete your account at any time.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SparrowTalk is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that cannot lawfully be disclaimed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SparrowTalk is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunity. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

11. Governing law and consumer protections

These Terms are governed by Ukrainian law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove non-waivable rights or access to courts and authorities available under the law of your country of residence.

12. Apple-distributed applications

For SparrowTalk obtained through Apple, the Apple Standard EULA applies unless a custom EULA is separately accepted in App Store Connect. Apple is not responsible for support beyond obligations imposed by applicable law or Apple’s terms.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms to reflect service or legal changes. Material changes will be presented as required before they take effect. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law. Questions can be sent to support.sparrowtalk@gmail.com.
